Number of stories? Hm, am writing 1 properly. Am planning sequel - I can start talking about it as if it's something I've written.
Am writing another one... when i feel like it. Have idea for sequel that doesn't work quite properly.

Then I'll start writing short stories and the like in the middle of all that... I couldn't cop with nine, just because I'd know that it would take me ages to get it finished.

Surprisingly, I somehow manage to keep all nine stories straight! I'm not enitely sure how I do, I just do! And I've only finished about maybe two of those nine... Still, I like having a lot of stories to work on. Then, no matter what, I always have insperation for something. For instence, there is one story that I haven't even touched in months! But then, there's one that's been lying dormant for the last three weeks that I suddenly have tons of ideas for!

Belowen, I think it's cool that you're writing a screenplay. Maybe I should try it sometime... But then I'd have *gasp* 10 stories! Ahhhhhhhhh!

I was wondering if anyone else was interested in writing a book of their own? I certainly am..The only problem is there is a large writer's block. :p
I've got most of the characters underway ( It's a fantasy ) the biggest problem is I can't figure out the main problem.
Ex: In LotR Frodo has to destroy the Ring.
In Eragon, Eragon has to defeat Galbatorix because he's a Rider.
I'm stuck in that department.
Is there anyone out there who shares my troubles?

I have trouble on that sometimes allso... I really don't want to write a book with the over used "Save the world" plot and all. Most of the time Something just springs up in my mind and I write it down... but if nothing does I have to work real hard sometimes.

Sorry for the double posting but I figured quoting two things would get a bit confusing.

I think writing lots like that is really one of the best things to do. I have writen countless stories throughout my short life and have really only finished 5-7 of them. (non published)

But the more you write the more you can look back on your old writing s and you can see how much you have improved. That has always been incoraging to me. Allso If you know you are never going to publish one book you can always look back and get ideas from it and maybe use some in the one you want to publish.

Yeah, I completely agree. I don't think I'd be able to get by with only one story. And I also know what you mean about looking back. I have a good time laughing whenever I find one of my old stories. (or the first drafts of the ones I'm working on now...)

Well, when I have trouble thinking I stop writing until I get "inspired" by something, anything, music, stories, anything. It really works!!!

I know. My first story I wrot the kids in it were realy mean... they called people stupid allot. I guess that was when I was having some troubles i life. lol. But allso there are some things from old stories that I see and think... "Hm.. that actualy sounds like it could be used for something" So I end up using it again in a different story. (although I try not to do that to much)

Yeah... i do that sometimes. Other times I just try to write anyway but it's hard when you don't feel like writing. Music really helps me to be inspired. Or fantasy movies and stuff do that allso.

What's annoying is when you're more than halfway through writing a book... and then you hit a block and NEW characters for a new story you haven't even begun to write won't leave you alone. This has been my life for about 2 months now. Very frustrating.
