OK, for those of u who have seen or read A walk to remember (AWTR) & prob. balled through it (@ least I did) here's a little poem I wrote. It's in Landon's POV. hope u like it! criticism & opinions is asked for, as always! hope u like it!! :)

I had never shown her any attention.
I had never looked her way.
But by the time I realized I was in love,
I knew that it was too late.

Everything about her was perfect.
She was everybody’s friend.
I will never forget the day I found out,
That her life was soon to end.

All the darkness had finally lifted,
The day her hand touched mine.
But now it seemed to all be coming back.
Things were slowly starting to decline.

I remember going home that day,
And crying all night long.
I felt like my heart had been ripped out;
Everything was going so wrong.

I had dreamed of the day that I would meet,
The one that was perfect for me.
But now that I finally had,
She was being ripped away from me.

A couple days afterwards;
After she’d told me of her news,
She came, stood on my doorstep, looked me in the eye,
And said those blessed words, “I love you.”

I knew I didn’t have long with her,
So I got straight to work.
I made all her wildest dreams come true,
And did my best to hide all my hurt.

And then I did something that I
Never thought would come to be.
I got on my knee, and asked my love,
If she would marry me.

And so it was,
We became husband and wife.
We made our promise,
To be together, for life.

It was a beautiful day;
Everything went great.
Everything was fine,
Until in, crept fate.

We hadn’t been married long,
When suddenly one day,
My angel fainted,
And was taken away.

Her long beautiful hair,
And her sweet tender head,
Now rested on a pillow,
In a hospital bed.

Every day and night,
On that bed she lay.
And slowly, to my horror,
I watched her fade away.

I think about her everyday,
And dream of her each night.
But I know that she is heaven,
And I know that she’s alright.

For now that she is gone,
Her love is like the wind.
I can’t see it,
But I’ll always be able to feel it.

Awww, pip! That is such a sweet poem, it made me cry! I love AWtR... i cry every time i see it. Your poem was excellent! It was filled with all types of emotion... sorrow, fear... and the best part about it was that you actually conveyed those feelings to the reader. You made me empathetic with Landon's feelings. Great job. :)

I'm the same with movies. I just get soooo wrapped up in them, as if I become a part of them for awhile. I know the feeling well, Pip. :P Elegost.... sounds familiar, but I don't think I've read it. Who's the author?? I'll try to read it before the movie comes out. :)

I know what you mean about finding the right kind of movie, Jax. I mostly just like action kind of stuff, or books made into movies. (Like LotR, of course :P :) )

I could NEVER be an actress- I'm waaaaaay to shy. I want to be a journalist. :) What about you guys, or do you know yet??

idk y i put Elegost.......Elegost is the name of guy in a video game i play. lol The book is actually Eragon. (2 many E names....lol) & It's by Christopher Paolini. reconize it now that i ahve the right name?? lol :-P (the 2nd book is called Eldest)

Oh, I could never be an actress, either. I'm also 2 shy. (although i'm working on that.) Just 1 of those dreams that'll never cum2 be, but r still fun 2 dream about. lol :-P

A journalist? that's cool. :) Wut do I wanna be? Oh gosh, idk....I've thought about this many many times b4, but I still haven't cum ^ w/ anything. I have a HUGE passion 4 music.......I play the piano & sing & I LOVE it..........but I also LOVE to write. Poetry & stories r awesome! So I'd luv 2 write a book sumday, or be a vocal major person or a pianist or sumthing like that.......But I also luv making graphics on the computer, & I love making slideshows. (i've prob. enver mentioned that 2 u guys........this program called ProShow Gold makes these AWESOME slideshows.....it's SO cool & SO fun!) So I'm not really sure. i like 2 many things. lol :-Pwut about u Jax??

Oh, now I know why Elegost sounds familiar- he's a member on the forum. I have read Eragon and Eldest, and I love them!! :) They're great books. The only thing I don't like is they cast a blonde guy to be Eragon, and I don't think his appearance really fits. :-/

I love to play the piano too, but I'll never be good enough to actually play for a job or anything. :P That's cool about the slideshows, and you do make great graphics. :) I want to publish a book as well. I guess all three of us have that in common. :) :-D

yea, Elegost is in an LotR video game, so that's who the guy on this forum is named after. lol :-P

Yea, i think if it was my job, it wouldnt be so fun ne more though, so i prob. wont play 4 a living. :) Aw, thanks. I dont think my graphics r good, though. lol :) & yes, I think we'd all luv to publish a book!! lol (although i dont think i'll ever be able 2 stick w/ 1 story long enough 2. lol :-P)

I don't play a whole lot of video games, (even LotR, and that's saying something :P ) but that's why it sounded familiar. :P True about piano- you would get sick of it after a while I suppose. :) Let's make it our goal to someday be reading one another's books. :P :) :-D (Although I have the same problem of being completely dedicated to one story :) )
