Post subject:  Mongols, a poem (slightly revised_

Can you hear the hoof beats?
Can you hear the arrows?

Can you see the Khan?
Can you see the steppes?

Below you see the horses
Gray and strong and proud

Atop you see the warrior
His aim great and true

Together they ride
Across the Earth

Up the mountains
Over the waters

The horsemen are riding
All far and near.

Toppling the Emperors
Conquering the land

Their Great Khan comes
Flail of god, enemy of evil

Who will contest his might?
Who will stop the hordes?

So they ride, sunrise to sunset
The mongols
