I just had the feeling to write a poem about a specific person in my life, and... here it is: Please tell me what you think of it!
I have known you
I have known you
For nearly my entire life.
I have known you
We were friends.
We comforted each other,
We liked each other,
We loved each other.
I have known you
For nearly my entire life.
I have known you
As no one else has.
We were a team,
We were best friends,
We were in love.
I have known you
For nearly my entire life.
I have known you
But you turned away.
You left me,
You ignored me,
You hated me.
I have known you
For nearly my entire life.
Even when you didn’t talk,
Even when you didn’t care,
Even when you didn’t love.
And now… You’re gone.
