From birth I was meant to die
Free me from these shackles
Where I've bled all my life
Where I've torn out my humanity
And placed it on this dark altar
So that I may feel nothing
Taste nothing
See nothing but the world for what it is
The world that turned its back on me
Hunt for pain
Kill for pleasure
Know no compassion for fear of denial
Walk the shadows of a lonely path
Along the boundaries of a void
That was once my soul
Lacerate my trail with the scars of my past
Unleash the animal raging within
Incarnate in my blade piercing another victim
Warmed by the blood gushing through my fingers
I pacify the beast I have become
With the cold hand of death
Caged inside
Bleed my shackles
Bind my pain
Love denied
Love betrayed
So leave me here
Leave me here to carve out this hollow existence
Leave me here in this recess of deepest hell
Leave me here to die

That's a really strong poem.. I love the way you describe, without going over the top.. which would be rather a temptation, in this kind of subject..
But, you haven't, and that makes it really work.
