[font=arial]I've been spending a lot of time lately, thinking about the perfect 1 for me...u know, the perfect guy. But I now realize that i've got 2 stop hoping & wishing & dreaming about him. He'll cum when he cums. Until then, I have 2 move on. Thus, this poem was born. Comments are appreciated! :)


I've spent all my life hoping, wishing,
praying;
Praying for the one.
But my heart's tired of wishing.
My soul's tired of hoping.
My mind's tired of praying.
And I realize, that I can no longer
waste my life hoping, wishing,
praying
for him;
for the one.
He will come, someday;
Someday, I will meet him,
and the skies will open up,
and all will be gay,
and there shall be no person on this Earth
happier than me.
But until then, I must move on.
I can no longer linger
over when he will come,
or where,
or how.
I must move on with my life.
I tell my heart this over
and over
and over
again.
And eventually,
it listens;
eventually,
it agress;
And eventually,
I, for the first time,
am content.
For my mind no longer prays.
My heart no longer wishes.
My soul no longer hopes.
They are content.
And so am I.[/font]

Very nice, and VERY true. lol

It does no good to wish or hope. It will come when it comes regardless of all that. And when God says your ready, then there it will be. :)

Glad i finally realized that. lol :-P I guess I always knew it deep down, but....well, it's fun to wish & dream & hope. lol but like u said, it will happen when it will happen. Until then....I'm content! :)

Yeah. :) And it's good that you have God's peace to wait. Because it will be the best way possible in His timing. :) And that's what I tell myself.

I might want it to happen now... But I would NEVER make it not as special or as good by throwing off God's timing. I wouldn't do that to myself, but most importantly I would NEVER do that to who ever He wants me to be with!

Amen to that! lol I will say, I've been tempted.....but deep down, i know that he's not rite......so, yha. lol I'm just very glad & very thankful that God has helped me realize that. :)

aw, ur so sweet!! *hugs like crazy* :hug: idk wut i'd do w/out u either!!!! I wish u lived here!! lol :-P U'd def. be 1 of my all-time best friends...i know that!! lol Well, we'll always talk on here.....even if (4 sum totally horrible crazy reason.... :blink:) i start hating LotR, i'd still stay on here 2 talk 2 u & Jax!! :) & if the forum ever closes down, there's always email.....still wish we could meet though. that'd be so cool!! :-p

*hugs Arwen back* no, we will nvr lose touch!!! :-P :hug: let's make a pact that we will always talk & nvr lose touch.....even if eventually it (sadly :() gets 2 the point of one e-mail a year or sumthing crazy....we will nvr lose touch. :)
