This is one I wrote because... well, my ears were ringing! That, of course, has nothing to do with the title of the poem...

What is this humming, humming now,
This humming that I hear?
What is this tone, this reedy buzz,
That’s buzzing in my ear?
What is that high-pitched little note?
It’s ringing through my brain,
For goodness sakes, what is that sound
That’s driving me insane?
Desist! I say, my weary head,
It cannot take much more,
This humming, buzzing, ringing sound,
Oh stop it I implore!
I love it!
