A haunting light lit quietly on the blooming peach tree, and each and every little petal swerved ever so quietly in the warm breeze. The atmosphere was very…old on that certain sphere on that certain time on that certain plain.

Under the lone tree there lay a boy, young in age, gripping closely a small leather bag to his chest. A peach blossom collided ever so lightly with his bare cheek, causing a stir as he turned over, yawning and just awakened. The (brown-haired) boy was shocked by the dew he suddenly rubbed against, and almost stood up, but then thought. Then his muscles relaxed and he enjoyed the sensation. Finally he got up, still yawning and sore.

After peeking around and noting the sun barely drooping over the eastern end of the Earth, he sat back down and shook his head, trying to remember…well, everything.
Two blue eyes popped open suddenly, and he immediately ran for the nearby road.

He ran for some time, on and down the path, towards the western end. Fast approaching was the beginning of a wood that filled the other valleys, eternal and green as the mountainsides. Suddenly all motion came to a halt as two blue electric lights lit up and stared into the oncoming darkness. He could’ve sworn he felt…breathing?

After some standing and watching, the boy just shook his head and dashed farther in, farther from the coming sun. So it was for some time, until the trees stopped for a short distance, looking almost tentative around the small little patch of green grass mats and red wildflower fires. Exhaustedly, a tired form dropped onto the enticing field and closed its eyes.

A loud, almost thunderous boom sounded across the forest. The trees, still timidly, looked on as a most peculiar thing jumped and backed against one of their number, until it saw something. A thunderhead was approaching, and under it, a tall, black…giant rolled across the canopy, flames running against the bottom of its shadowy form. The youth almost froze completely, but remembered to flee from such things.

Turning into the woods, another booming roar came and with the whole treeish race the boy stopped completely again and stared at the giant. It was closer…but only a little. The beast had shrunk with the first drops of rain falling from a greyed and blackened sky.

Just a little opening, I'm not sure where this goes, but I feel like I'm being led along into a little story.
