When I was sitting my GCSE's, I had a great teacher for English, who made me fall in love with poetry, as I have a common learning difficulty, I still set out to write, being dyslectic, was the worst for me, as spelling and grammar mistakes will be found through out my work, I had no idea this website existed, so went to one my sister introduced me to. But after a few months away, I lost interest, but know I am back!
I got two, I love being describing thing, so sorry!

This one is called Amazing Grace-

You were standing on balcony of a great castle.
I noticed you amazing beauty.
The dress floated around you, with your eyes off into the distance,
watching like a hawk, but crying like a child,
at your world falling down around you.
You may looked like an angel, with a pale face and golden river of hair but
you were so cold and untouchable, so distance to the real world.
Looking off into the bleakness, so many questions must of been going
through your head.
You stood like a statue, looking up into the death threating sky,
murky grey and brown.
Watching everyone run around like scared children.
The many men in amour, clinking and shining in the dull sunlight.
No smile on their face either but only the look of death.
But the way you stood watching, and waiting for it all to crash..
But the way you stood like a statue of marble, it has to
be said you had amazing grace, inside and out. :erm:

And the other is called Midnight Walk.

The valley, hills, mountains and the villages will be hidden in a black cloak,
as it will fall upon the beautiful land.
Hiding the beauty of the lands in dankness.
Only the lights of the villages will show in the never ending darkness.
Making the lights of the valley sparkle like stars.
Only the moon is your light in the forest at nigh
with the cloudless sky above concealing all
Only you will hear are the rustle of the leaves
The sound of life.

And there she shall walk under the stars
By the river, ink black with stones scattered and glittering like broken glass
In the moonlight, stars will glitter like diamonds.
By the weeded path, there she shall walk.
No footprint left by her,
only her feet can be seen.
Walking, listening, watching.
Sometimes singing a sweet tune.

There she shall wonder into darkness
The path she shall follow will lead into the forest
Then she shall stroll into wild flowers, dark grey and black in the moonlight.
The moon will push through only showing,
spots of light, revealing an animal or the path again.
Trees will stand still and tall, black and grey convening the way.
Threating and dark the will go on into darkness.
And what lurks behind then and in the darkness is hidden
But she still wonders on into darkness
No doubt in her walk, as she carries on into the woods.
She will walk and show no fear
to what lurks in the darknesses
You see her eyes, bright blue like peacock feathers.
They show no fear, no doubt or that she is sacred.
As she feels safe walking among the tress, her friends.
Young and old and different kinds.

She will not jump or turn her head in worry
to the different noises of the night
Nor at the breaking of the branches
Or the howl of wolf far off in the other valley.
Her cloak will make a rustle like the leaves.
Black like the sky and no shadow will be cast on it.

She will walk between blue bells, shrubs, roses, thistles and oaks,
past willows, and lakes and will step over small streams
and across fields.
Through gates and down the hill, till darkness takes her,
hug her and shallow her whole, until she can no longer be seen.
As she is an elven princess

Nice poetry. :)

I like your comparisons...

"stones scattered and glittering like broken glass
In the moonlight, stars will glitter like diamonds."

:) Always a pleasure to read good poetry.
