Basically a poem, chant, type thing with an elfen maiden, Silmarwen Idril to be exact, as its composer. She longs to seek peace in Valinor, the undying lands, the place of her kin. The short story is Silmarwen had another elf under her training, and her son, Sagen, looked to this elf as his older brother, since his father had left them when Sagen was but an an infant, and his twin brother had died. But the elf warrioress ended up killing the elf in training, when he didn't avoid a strike she was sure he would avoid. Her son was there during this time, and saw what happened to the one he had grown to call brother, and thus he was devistated, and blamed her. She shunned her weapons and stared towards the sea, her heart yearning for the peace of Valinor, but it had been forbidden her long ago, because of her choices and actions, and so here is a poem, 'written' by 'her'
-----------------
The winds of change blow past my door. The light of day fades ever more. Darkness of night comes upon the land, Brought on by the actions of my own hand.
The endless call of the gentle sea, Slowly, kindly, calmly, beckons to me. The longing to answer dwells forever within, To leave and forget all I had ever been.
What remains cannot hold me here, Driven to live by pain, doubt, and fear. Let me gaze upon thee, oh silver shore! Where peace would dwell forevermore!
What keeps me from thy pleasant stillness? What lies in my mind, what is this illness? Blood in my endless years I have shed? Wounds which have unceasingly bled?
Lives I have taken; images never to leave. Visions of the ones for whom I grieve. Blood on my hands, never washed away, Is what plagues me my every living day.
Oh Valinor! Oh Valinor how I long for thee! How I seek for your endless tranquility, Long for my restless soul to be forgiven, And find the peace for which I have striven
Don’t turn me away, oh graceful white ships! Hear the pleadings uttered by my lips! Answer me, oh sea dwellers of old, I plea not for silver, I plea not for gold!
Take me, I beg, to those undying lands! Bear me there by your sea worthy hands! Relieve the memories, lift from me the pain. It is peace which I so long to gain.
But alas! The ships will not bear such a maiden, I, so stained by blood, so trouble laden. Doomed to wander among the dying, Till my end, stumbling, wayward, crying.

I flew all the way from Texas to New England to spend two weeks with miss Nienor. 5 of those days were to survive on an uninhabited island. Booyah.
