FREDOM'S CRY

Deep inside the dept of night,
And echo can be herd.
The terrors that we all must fight,
distorted through each word.

Around us though the trees grow tall,
And cover thick may be.
Living plants as though a giant wall,
Keep us from the see.

Across it's peacefull waters lay,
A land of freedom sweet.
A land where all are free to pray,
And long lost loved ones meet.

Hear freedom's cry it's calling out!
It's voice throughout the earth.
I ask you now with freedom's shout,
How much is freedom worth?

Take your life and take your soul,
Stand and be bold!
Take your life and make it whole,
Give me freedom or death's hand cold!



I have been reading about the isues of slavery in my Social studies and felt like writing something about it. So here it is. Hope ya like it.

Thank you both. I am again glad you liked it. I took care of that spelling eror though, it did disrupt it a bit. lol.

I am thinking about publishing a book of poetry with a P.O.D ( not the group for those of you who know them... Stands for Print on Demand)

But am not sure about it.. it costs of course... and I am not sure if I will have enough money.

lol. Well, I gota get it finished and get the money first. I have done some looking and I don't think there should be any problems with the copy write violations with just poetry so that much is safe. But for a book publishing on POD can be dangerous if you are not sure about all that stuff.


You can get into all sorts of copywrite lawsuites and expenses and trouble.. not a pretty thing!
