(my second poem)

Winter’s Might.

Cold are these winter nights
Alone we have no rights
To life without a fire, we are doomed to freeze upon this cold layer.
Snow whips the faces of men, tired eyes, and forbidden ends.

Cold snow promises death, frozen glaciers endless depths
Pale are the people of this north, but survived trough the winters have they not?
Cold dawn embraces life, sunlight’s gift of eternal might
Sunlight kills the layer of death, yet so beautiful is the winter’s breath
It might whip our faces and freeze us, but forever its beauty it shows us
And those dark nights reveal a sight, more beautiful than sun’s light
Blessed and cursed are we under thee
The great north of winter lights and freeze

My heart is heavy as I fall down into this cold death without fire
But I rejoice seeing the layer of snow, the bed of death so soft, but cold
For I die in beauty’s holds.

On these blood stained pages of misery
Let him call me a tyrant so cruel
Let him curse my name, but remember the truth!
