Soldier The young man stepped onto the battle field, His eyes gleamed around at the figures amongst, His duty to his counrty was to fight, Unless death embraces his soul, But in his heart all he wanted was to be free, He lifted up his musket, Then fired at the soldiers, Whom were across the field, His eyes met with the soldier who fell, As the dead soldiers friend cryed in agony, With a shilling scream, He killed and life, And it will never return home again.... © Whitney Alice King |

That's really good. What did you win with it? I entered my poem/short story into approximatly 10 or more contests, I haven't gotten any news yet.. |
