The Cold wind blows, it aches and hurts with the coming of spring With it travel sorrows, not known to those who sorrow themselves An old friend comes along, bent with age and time, and tells me that it's too cold to be out. But I don't listen. Never have, never will Why start now? They say that wind brings change, but I don't believe it. The wind slowly erodes my pain, but does not mask it. Why bother with hiding? For the wind comes and goes, but I remain. Unchanged, Unmoved, and unhappy with my life They say the wind brings change...so why am I the same? For it is another fabrication of what we call life... So why do we believe it? Why do we listen Change comes from within...not from the wind... So heed the words of a woman who sits in the wind: "Change is coming...be ready...it'll come quick" |
