Can't say I have ever read a poem about Rome before. But it was a nice poem!
Diversity in subjects to me is a good thing.

Oh I look on towers strong aloft the hills where Romans dwell The ever quaint townships the fortresses impenetrable Memories of empire forged of steel Memories of Roma borne on the seven hills Oh for Rome I lament fallen parapets lying on your ashes Oh for the Empire I lament A thing so beautiful lost to dark So in my heart I keep a place for Rome to dwell never lost Greatest memories I have for you and ever shall I remember, the city on the seven hills *Roma is latin spelling |

Yes, well I have a fetish for Roman history, so I found it natural to express my emotions about it's fall. |
