Swaying and shedding
Growing and ageing
Such is the life of a tree
We are left to be
And if it were meant to me
It would stay that way forever
We are being chopped and cut
Mangled and torn
Moved away from where
Bringing us to distant lands
To start us over new
Mutated
Is what happens to us
We are no longer trees of each other
