Which was due to Aulë making the Dwarves without asking Ilúvatar--remember, Ilúvatar told Aulë that there would be strife between his Children and Aulë's or some such thing--so the aggression between Elves and Dwarves is something that they themselves are not even responsible for. They're born that way, apparently.

yeah, he was talking about death in the movies. But in the books, it's kinda different.. When Frodo goes to Valinor he has this picture of a green land under a swift sunrise.. so yeah..
