I saw it in a bookshop the other day and I was so upset I couldn't buy it. I don't have 20€... *cry* but it looked awesome

It's pretty expensive here in Germany, too. It took me 26 €

Well I think it's quite a good price. Remember, after all it's a hard back and first edition book and 26 € for it aren't that much.
P.S. still haven't bought mine yet :/

Heh. Maybe it's not so bad that I have to wait a bit before I have a chance to buy it--by then, hopefully the price will be down.

Hmm.. yeah if it's the hard back edition that's a different thing of course. I thought it was just a paperback book.

Well, we're talking about a Tolkien book here. A First Edition, Hard-Back version Tolkien book. It's something quite special. When u get paperback versions, they're not the 'original' so to say (original in the sense of first time publication) ... the way I see it heh

Ah. You inspire me.  I'll try to get a First-Edition Hardcover then, too. It would be nice to have that, instead of the common edition, like I have for all of the other Tolkien books.
