It was a little difficult to read at first, but never boring! just more complex than most books.

it isnt boring at all to me but unless you like LONG books then it may be kind of tedious. but the story itself is REALLY well-written and overall its a brialliant book!!

I have just recently re-read the Silmarillion and I partially retract my previous statement. It can appear boring for the first time. I recommend reading it, then going onto some forum and learn as much of the First Age as you can and then read it again - then you will see how amazing the book really is. You cannot really appreciate it the first time you read it.

Yeah, I agree with the most of you. Silmarillion isn't very easy one to read. There is no very clear plot. But it explains things a lot and some of the stories are very beautiful, for example Beren and Lúthien.
Little hard, but never boring.

I didn't exactly like the part about the Noldor, it got kind of slow for a while, but I loved it anyways.

I don't think it's boring, but maybe it's boring for those who asren't that much into LotR and middle-earth. I read it because I wanted to find out averything about the history of middle-earth, haven't finished reading but I read everyday, I think it's great. But sometimes it's hard to read, youhave to concentrate...

I have never read it. I started it when I was younger.... But I too found it a little drawl... But like I said I was younger, and probably didn't understand much of what I was reading... I thought parts of it were quite interesting! After I finish the book I am reading now, I will be sure to read the Silamrillion!

When the first few pages seem too hard/boring to you, don't give up, It'll get easier and more interesting after them.
