The new (and final) cover for The Children of Hurin has been released, what do you guys think? I really like it though I guess I was hoping for something like a battle scene that would jump out at you a bit more. I can't wait for this to be released!

But I'm awfully bad updated... is it the first time the story will be published?

It's been published in parts within The Silmarillion and HoMe but this book will attempt to combine all the different versions into an almost complete story. So there should be some new stuff and anything new by CT is big. Not to mention all the new illustrations by Lee will be great.

Nice... I've only read the Silmarillion apart from the trilogy... It's so difficult to get hands on books other than LotR and the Hobbit around here... Thank you for the information though! _________________ >>Be the change you wish to see in the world<<

Sweet new cover. I like it a lot, except that it seems Alan Lee forgot that the Dragon-helm of Dor-Lomin has a mask on the front, too.
And ditto to what Ea and Fíriel said--I get the less-common books online.

I can't wait! It looks so good. The Children of Hurin is my very favorite story in Tolkien...rather obviously.  _________________ I am a Shieldmaiden for Christ!
