Id say that they are quite alike. Both are great warriors and leaders. They each have had their fair share of issues concerning their lineage. As Aragorn struggles as he doesnt initially want his power as King of Gondor and fears that he would be weak when it came to the ring. This is similar to Faramir as his father Denethor seems to run him down all the time. Both also are faced with the will of the ring and both allow Frodo to continue with his quest. |

I think they are alike, but Aragorn never told Eowyn that he loved her, even though she thought otherwise. I also like Aragorn more than Faramir, although Faramir is pretty cool. |

Aragorn has a stronger will to resist using the ring for the help of Gondor than Faramir. Did Faramir want to take the ring to Gondor in the book too or is that an addition in the movie?? |

I'm pretty sure that they really exaggerated Faramir's temptation of the ring in the movie. I don't think he was tempted that much in the book. That is SO hard, but I'd say Faramir. He manages to "come back" so to speak, after his father was so mean to him, and he lost his whole family. Don't get me wrong, I really like Aragorn, too, but Faramir is my favorite. |
