Lol I don't take similar names seriously, I just notice them because well I'm a crazy LotR fan and a crazy HP fan. I can't help but notice it. But plagiarism? No I don't think so.

If you base your dislike of JKR on her "copying" names, then you should dislike Tolkien as well, because the name Eomer isn't original, it's from Beowulf, as is the castle Meduseld.
