Which of Tolkien's books is your favourite? I don't think I can choose, but I love The Two Towers.

I think it's extremely hard to choose, but I'm going to have to say the Hobbit. It's a quick and easy read, and it sets the foundations for the trilogy, which is what I like most.
And plus, it has the best riddles!

RotK is my favourite book of the trilogy. I usually don't like books where things gradually get worse, I've always been a fan of happy endings. Which sounds really superficial, but it's true. Except, then Frodo leaves. That's sad.

I can't decide! It's a tie between FotR, TTT, RotK, and the Silmarillion.

I like The Hobbit the most. The story is both sweat and serious and I agree with Alessae; it sets the foundations for the trilogy.

I don't know, I can't really decide. I love all of Tolkien's books, but I really like RotK and The Hobbit.

I haven't read all Tolkien's books yet. I've read the Trilogy, The Hobbit and I'm reading the Sil now. And I think that when I finish all the books, I will still not be able to choose one...

My favorite is actually Tolkien's Farmer Giles of Ham. It's such a funny story, I've thought it'd be great to make a patchwork quilt that tells the story, and another that tells the Hobbit

I'll go with RotK. It's my favorite of the stories, since you get to see hobbit power in the Scouring of the Shire (yesh, I'm a complete sucker for stories in which the heroes mature a lot and then come back and impress their friends and vanquish their enemies...pathetic, I know). I also like the stories in the appendices, like the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen and the one about Thorongil.

I said RotK. I'll never forget the feeling I got when I finally finished it. The way he ends it with "Well, I'm back" is so... *thinks really hard for a word*... touching I guess. I'm glad PJ kept the ending when he did the movie.

It is definantly a very hard decision I'll have to say that my fazourite is..........*thinks really hard*.........RotK.........I looooooooooove the way the hobbits all end up doing things they never thought that they could do, like Pippin and Merry going off to battle and Frodo and Sam gotng all the way to Mt. Doom.

That was hard. But in the end I choose FOTR. The Silm and The Hobbit and ROTK are favorites as well.

I haven't read the Sil or Unfinished Tales. I haven't gotten around to reading them because sometimes they're checked out from the library or I am too busy... I should just buy a copy, honestly.
Anyways, I choose The Hobbit. It's such an easy read and I think Bilbo is a hilarious character. I think it would be kind of cool PJ made a movie to this, because those animated versions are just weird. Anyways, it's a great story that will lead you to the Trilogy.
