Lol, Aer. Elen was subject to all of your monologues on certain characters, then? Poor Elen. ^_^

Hahahaha. Vampire Knight was fun for a few days. <_<
I don't spill the beans to anyone, though, especially since no one that I know IRL would have any idea what I was talking about if I said that I crush on Lúthien or someone. ^_^ It's more like I hero-worship the same guys that you crush on.

There are certain characters in the Sil who I would respect.. but crushes?? naaah!!
and if there was anyone I could have a crush on ... it might have been Turin..
I've felt sympathy for Maedhros, but never liked him as such..

My name's Leanne, and I have a crush on a fictional character.
And I'm not ashamed

I never seriously considered having crushes on Silmarillion characters, but Maedhros was my favorite of the seven sons (but I don't think I could handle red hair, no offense to anyone who has it, it's pretty just not my taste). And hey, don't feel ashamed, Finrod was my favorite of his generation of Noldorin Princes. I never liked Turin, he always bugged me.

I looked for him when I was at the beach. Of course I didn't really expect to find him since I live on the wrong continent. I'm sure it's the European shores he wanders. I spent more of my time calling out to Ossë, trying to convince him to make us some reallly big waves. The waves in the Gulf of Mexico are pathetic (at least everywhere I've been along it's shore). But I guess he'd probably stick to the European shores as well, if he come's near any mortal shores at all nowadays. And seeing as Valinor's been removed from the circles of the world that probably means that the maiar went with it.
So I have to be content with watching Earendil, the morning star, steer his coarse across the night sky. I find it fascinating to think that even in this age we can still see an actual Silmaril with our own eyes, if we just look up at the right time of night or morning.
P.S. Seeing as you like Silmfics and Maglor, have you read The Well? http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4884959/1/The_Well

Oh, please, that's nothing. Truly. You're an amateur, Aerlinn. I'm sorry, but you are. When you start putting yourself in physical harm and seeing a therapist because you love a character so much, then I'll give you my respect.

It has the tendency to make the fangirl's life ever so slightly more enjoyable, especially since none of her fictional crushes are anything but fictional and even her living, breathing crushes don't deserve putting anyone in harm's way for them at the time of writing. Only too true. But I got a little crazy last year, though it was for various reasons.
