Anyone else liked Túrin and Nienor's story? I found it amazing (alto it's sooo sad) and captivating. Especially since I've read The Unfinished Tales I think I'm formally in love with the story  . I like the way Túrin was portrayed; a tragic hero, sometimes good guy, sometimes bad guy ...
Anyway what's your opinion about Túrin Turambar and his doom? "A Túrin Turambar turún' ambartanen: master of doom by doom mastered" |

i dont think he is bad sometimes he is always good heart but his fate is too bad.when turin kill beleg and married with niniel Nienor i feel so bad. but it is his fault no it is just the thing writen to his fate(by tolkien ) Túrin is my favorite men in simarillion.Túrin deserve name of turambar? i dont think so he cant win the fight against curve and fate.
and i have a question,in english is it Túrin's dark sword or black sword? |

I think it's Black Sword but I'm not entirely sure because I've never read Sil in English

Yes, the Black Sword, Gurthang. This is my favorite story in both the Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales, and possibly in all of Tolkien. I think Turin is really admirable...he manages to continue on through all that happens to him. I've always felt I could identify with Nienor most out of all Tolkien's characters. |

Both Turin and Beren have kindof tragic fate ... Sad thing, they were great men both. Unfinished Tales explain a lot of things but I still want more details. Also in Lost Tales (vol. 2) - Turambar and the Foaloke - it is so sad. His farewell to Morwen (Mavwin) ... *sobs* Sad thing, as I've said before.
