In TikTok I often see memes about «idiots live 12 years». Everyone laughs, but I wondered: where did it even come from? Is there any scientific explanation or is it just an internet joke? Oddly enough, that sounds rude and unethical. Is there any reason for this, or are these all fabrications of social network users? |

There, the author explains that the phrase appeared from old statistical observations where it was said that people with severe intellectual disorders life is shorter by about 12-15 years. Then someone mistakenly understood that «they live only 12 years». So this became a viral myth. In fact, everything depends on care, medicine and living conditions. |
