Vala and Maia are the singular forms, like I am now a Vala... Valar and Maiar are the plural forms, we are Valar... etc

I've always been confused by this... Is 'Vala' the singular form for the erm... Valar, and is 'Valar' actually the plural form? This may seem like a dumb question, but I've always wondered about it. =/ Oh, and do these "rules" apply for the word 'Maia'? |

^ That be right ^^ It`s like plain ol` Quenya; adding -i or -r for plural. |

Oh yeah. If I remember correctly, in Quenya you add an 'r' to the end of words that end in a vowel (Vala, Valar) and an 'i' to those that end in a constanant (Teler, Teleri) |

Don't forget about Valie though, the female Valar. I'm not sure if it's plural or singular, though,

That's right - I looked it up on the internet. So Vala is singular, and Valar is plural.

i think it is after special letters where -i or -r are used but i cant remember which it were. i should refresh my quenya too |
