Welcome! Grab a cup of chocolate, tea, or lemonade, feel free to help yourself to that continually full plate of cookies there, and join us! We're be starting with something pure fun for summer: The Hobbit .


Please feel free to just post ANYTHING about the story that comes to your head while reading. Nienor will be posting some discussion questions to help get discussion going, and she will sometimes even get a little organized debate going, so watch for her post for details.

That's not all. Besides reading together and posting our thoughts here, Arsarniel has approached our webmaster for use of the chat. Guess what? We'll hold a LotR discussion chat periodicly for the Reading Group! w00t! Stay tuned for further details!

Oh, yes, please post here if you want to join. If you find this thread when we're in the middle of a book, post anyway. Newcomers are welcome at ANY time!

I'll be posting a new chapter to read every week. I hope to see you joining us soon! *begins arranging chairs and looking out the window for people to show up*

I'd like to join. :) I've never been in a reading group before, and I just checked The Annotated Hobbit out of the library...and I have to return it in 9 days. >_< But I'd still love to join anyway. :)
