I'm glad Orlando is doing great as an actor, honestly, he's getting a little overrated. =P It would be tiring seeing him in the Hobbit. Not trying to bash any Legolas fans here...

I highly doubt that PJ would put OB in The Hobbit, even though he is a prince - actually, I think it's possible that we could see him at one of the "phantom banquets" though, I hope not. You never know with PJ.

I agree with you, Precious. I seriously hope that Legolas is not shown in the films, but then PJ isn't directing...so we don't know what will happen.

Orlando Bloom would so not settle for a background role... he's such a big actor now that the only way he'd take time out of his busy schedule to do this is if he was offered a decently-sized role... at least Thranduil

Elves don't have ages, so he wouldn't have to look any younger. However, since he was born a couple hundred years before the Hobbit, he deffinately could be in it. In fact, I think it would be very intresting to have that happen.
I would also like to see how they do Thranduil's castle, since I'm writing a story about his niece and it would be neat to get a feel for it!

I think the most they should have (or it should be the maximum) is Legolas standing by his father or something. I don't really want Legolas in The Hobbit, but it would kinda tie it and the Lord of the Rings together.

I'm not being mean to anyone but what do people have against Legolas anyway. I think he was awsome but that is my opinion but what do people not like about him?

Personally, I feel he is a fantastic actor... only a bit overrated. He was a major character in LOTR and (I agree with Lasbelingur) it would make the two series too closely related.
