Ooh, it'll be chaotic, I know that. But in a good way.

Wow that's the only aspect of flying I can truely understand is that time flies. When lotr first came out in film I wasn't interested in it at all. Heh now I can't get enough of it. I really can't wait for the hobbit to come out. The book was terrific!

^Hhaah same... when they first came out, I was as stubborn as a mule... I could be neither persuaded or forced to see them, even if I'd been bound, beaten and dragged

When people spoke of it I just zoned out, it was of no interest. Now people can't get me to shut up about it. I'm so glad I found this site, it takes care of alot of my lotr energy hehe

Neither was I. My ex-fiancé hounded me for months until I finally gave in. But I learned later he really wasn't much of a fan. I personally wouldn't call him one. All he did was watch the films, he didn't really grasp anything from them like I had.
I actually should give him a big thank you, though I don't think he'd want to hear it. *hint, hint* XD
But yeah. Ooh, I'm all excited. I'm glad Pete will be working with the film. At least then we'll know it will turn out good since he knows what he's doing.

Has anyone else heard this news? That PJ is going to create not one, but two films based on The Hobbit!
I love the idea of another LotR movie to enjoy, but I'm confused as to how they will divide the story...

^Yep, I heard about that about one or two weeks ago.
I don't know how they'll divide it but it's a good idea... double the screen times means double the amount of proper book content they'll be able to fit in without having to overly rush it.

Yeah, I've heard about the two films thing as well. I really don't know how they will divide it... I mean, if you just ended the first movie in the middle of the book, it would be sort of... lame. I don't know... maybe Peter has some brilliant ideas...

Well the LotR films was pretty much like that too... only it was divided into three parts instead of two. And if people know that the other half of the film would come out the following year, I think it'd make more sense to them, seeing as it's another Tolkien film

yeah but LotR already was a trilogy. I know Tolkien actually didn't want the story to be a trilogy, yet PJ already had a structure given for the LotR movies. But the Hobbit is just one book.
Not that I have anything against the idea of two movies. I think it's really cool if they're able to put more of the book content into the movies, but I don't know how you could split up the story.

I know... but there must be some place in the book that can be cut off into half after something huge had just happened and they escaped from it. I don't know either, but I'm positive they can definitely pull it off right

Yeah, I think they can pull it off too. I'm just curious on how Peter will go about it...

probably.. but I'm still worried about the fact that he won't be the director. So there's gonna be another person in charge of how the films are gonna look apart from PJ. If PJ was directing it, I wouldn't be worried..

I just read that instead of dividing the story into two separate films, they may have the first film be just about The Hobbit, and the second one be a bridge between the events of the Hobbit and the LotR trilogy.
