I was diagnosed with catatonic schizophrenia, and it’s very different from what most people imagine when they think of schizophrenia. If you want to know more -
what is catatonic schizophrenia? For me, the biggest issue is the periods where I can’t move or speak at all. It’s like being frozen in place, and no matter how much I want to move, I just can’t. It can last for hours. Sometimes I also have repetitive movements, like rocking back and forth. Medication has helped reduce these episodes, but they’re still part of my life.
