hmmm....where to start...FoTR wasnt so funny fo me. so one would probsbly be the classic merry and pippin.."Great, so where are we going?" or in the extended edition when sam id joining in the lament for gandalf and Gilmli is lying there snoring his head off...then in comes aragorn with one hell of a punch to gimli! lol classic moment

some part in ROTK with Elrond and Aragorn that always cracks me up!
and etc..,
Have you noticed that FOTR is the most funny movie?

Oh coolies!
Love all the merry-pippin scenes( ya there all my fave), Gimlie and the occasional Sam!
Here's just a few...
Sam: Watch who you're sweet talking
Frodo: Don'y worry Sam, Rosie knows an idiot when she sees one
Sam: ... does she?
-Galadriel: For you, Samwise Gamgee, Elven rope
Sam: Thank You M'Lady... Have you ran out of those nice shiny daggers?
Merry: [On Midgewater Marshes] What do they eat when they can't have hobbit?
-[after falling down a hill]
Merry: I think I've broken something.
[pulls out a broken carrot]
-[Merry and Pippin are leading the orcs away from Frodo]
Pippin: It's working.
Merry: I know it's working. Run.
-[while being chased by Farmer Maggot]
Merry: I don't know why he's so upset. It's only a couple of carrots.
Pippin: And some cabbages. And then those three bags of potatoes we lifted last week, and... and... the mushrooms, the week before.
Merry: Yes, Pippin, my point is, he's clearly over-reacting. Run.
Frodo: Before you came along, we Bagginses were very well thought of.
Gandalf: Indeed?
Frodo: Never had any adventures or did anything unexpected.
Gandalf: If you're referring to the incident with the Dragon, I was barely involved. All I did was give your uncle a little nudge out of the door.
Frodo: Whatever you did, you've been officially labeled a disturber of the peace.
God damm I can go on! soz lol!

Most of the scenes with Gimli or Merry and Pippin are funny I think I don't have a special scene I find funniest..

i do have to admit i always laugh when i hear pippins girlish scream but linking to Tegaladwen's post befor bout legolas bein obvious, a scene from rotk, where legolas states the obvious and just wants to be in the scene and states its a diversion  !! _________________

My favorite scene is when Aragorn is about to throw Gimli across the gap in the Mines of Moria and Gimli said "nobody tosses a dwarf!" and when he jumps Legolas catches him by the beard and gimli says "NO! NOT THE BEARD!"

One of my favorite moments is when Pippin is asking about breakfast when they are outbound from Bree. The whole sequence is just classic. It also begins the running "apple from the sky" joke continued in the other films.

I believe the funniest moment in this movie for me was the scene, when Merry and Pippin got to Frodo and Sam, when they have stolen all those vegetables.

What I also liked was the scene in the EE when Galadriel asks Gimli what he wants to have as a gift and he doesn't want to say what he wants to have..

Almost all the scenes with Merry and Pippin, are great too.

In the extended dvd's. The part when the Fellowship departs from Lothlorien. And they get Lembas. Merry and Pippin ate four, and than Legolas says that a full grown man, only needs one bute. LOL

^ That was funny too. I was thinking of that scene once I got out of the sushi buffet here where I live. My dad had less than I did and I even did a burp like Pippin it was real funny.
