I liked Tom Bombadil very much when I read books but I really think that if Tom was in the movie then Movie-goers would have been very confused.But I must say,it would have been interesting to see Goldberry!

I know why it was. It was time. Don't you think they should release a DVD similar to an Extened edition, only with all of the good scenes from the books. I mean its not as if thats going to happen now, its waay too late but erm, you know.

yeahh lol. It's a shame it will never happen :[[
I still love the idea of showing Bombadil, but i totally agree, there would be many confused fans if he was to be present but i guess if the scriptwriters used such beautiful language as they do throughout LOTR then the whole precense of Bombadil could be explained pretty quickly!
