Post subject:  It's Been 5 Years Since FotR came out!
Can you believe it? On December 19th it'll have been five years since we all first sat in theaters and saw FotR. Time sure flies, doesn't it ever! To celebrate, we at AU are going to have a movie watching.

Here's what you can do:

***Turn up at one of the "viewings". Remember, *you* bring the DVD and put it on. We'll be partying and discussing it in the Chatroom

***Tell your friends. Even if they've not been to AU before, bring them over for this big celebration.

***Put something about it in your sigs

***Remember there will be three viewings and a continuous line party. We'll start with one Australian time, then one Europe, and end with an American/Canadian one. :) The line party will only end with the start of the American viewing.

Although i didnt go see FOTR in the cinema, i find it really hard to believe that it's been that long! And yes...time certainley does fly!

I did not see it in the theaters either. I wasn't really interested in it at the time. But once my friends were all talking about it I was like "Mom can I see that?" and she said, "You have to read the books first." and she handed me her very old, very worn vollumes of the Lord of the Rings. And I was like "THat's what my friends are all taking about?" My mom had siggested I read them before the movie was even thought of and I had not really thought about it too hard cuz the covers were pretty boring (nobody even think those words, you don't know how many times i've heard them) also you reads book their mom likes? (Ok I do now but then I was pretty silly and immature and thought that it would be totally uncool to read something that old.) So I read them. Loved them. And by the time I was finished fotr was out on video and we got in from the library and I watched it on our smallest tv in my parents room pausing it when ever one of my siblings would come in becasue they hadn't read the books and weren't allowed to see it. Good times good times...

That's awesome! I wonder if the cast will be getting together for a post-FOTR party. I'll try to watch it.

Ehh I tried going into the chat room, but whenever i typed in my username and password this thingy came up
"JN763. Access rejected from your IP address."

I dont know why that happened, but now I cant go into the chat... :closedeyes:

Wow! Has it really been that long!! :-o I wonder in a few more years they might have that special thing where they show it at the movies so we can watch it on the big screen again? I hope so! :bounce: lol!
