it would be cool to get a gold belt from galadriel. she gives the best gifts! and they fit everyone in the fellowship. too bad boromir didn't get his in the movie....

ya, but i think it would be cool to get the bow that legolas got! that would to AWESOME!!! lol! ok... i think that overall i think boromir should of got a bigger role in the war, ya he tried to take the ring away but it doesn't really give a lot of info about him

I personally think that Galadriel's gift to Boromir was a trivial thing, because Galadriel sensed the corrupting of Boromir's mind from the ring, and "suspected" he would not be true to the fellowship in it's assigned task.
Boromir fought bravely and well, reagaining his honor to die for Merry, and Pippin. But, so far as the Ring was concerned he failed, and fell.
Just MHO.

Probably time constraints in the films, and as it didn't add anything to the story, wht show it.

One thing about it not being in the movies, though, could be the fact that it would look a little strange for someone to put a belt on someone else or just hand someone a belt.

I think it's really odd boromir didn't got a present in the movie... everyone got something from Galadriel but he didn't.. he didn't had to be the belt like in the book, but it could have been something else.. Sam didn't got the real present from the book either... i think it's kind of stupid.. PJ's done a great job on the details, and than he messes up this!! It wouldn't have taken more than 15 seconds, I don't believe it had to do anything with little time left or anything..

well, he can't change it anymore now :p

I have never noticed until now that Boromir wasn't given a gift. How utterly mean of it not to even have been mentioned. I think they could have shown him being handed the belt at least in a flashback, like with Gimli's gift. She could just have handed it to him saying something like "may the craft of the Elves be a fitting.. something.... for a son of Men" or something like that. :-( Poor Boromir.
