I am just watching the EE of FotR (the first time and also the first time in english) and I saw this totally funny scene :D

the fellowship has just reached the walls of moria.

Gimli: Dwarf doors are invisible when closed.

Gandalf: Yes, Gimli, their own master cannot find them, if their secrets are forgotten.

Legolas: Why doesn't that surprise me.

I love everything that's going on between Legolas and Gimli and this scene is just sooo great, I love it :)

Legolas and Gimli are my favorate charactors. I totally love all Legolas and Gimli scenes.

I really liked that line.. oh, and when they enter lothlorien gimli says:

I've got the eyes of a eagle (? something like that) and the ears of a fox, and than suddenly he's got an arrow pointed at him :jump: lol!!

Lol yeah! Great moments between the two. I agree, Gimli is a comic relief in the movie.

There was a scene in FotR EE when the group was in Lothlorien. Gimli wasn't happy that the group (I think Legolas, Aragorn, and Haldir) were speaking in a language he couldn't understand and he said something in his own language. Then Aragorn said, "That was not very nice." Very funny moment there.

I thought Peter Jackson having Legolas and Gimli bantering so much took away from the movie, this line one of those times. But some of it was good comic relief, as was the Merry-Pippen banter.

Yeah, that scene is funny. It sort of shows the elf and dwarf rivalry.

Those two characters are just good together.

I like the scenes where Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn are in Helm's Deep,
they are watching Saruman's army and Gimli can't see anything because he's too short or when on the bridge of kazad-dum he was falling and Legolas
grabbed him by the beard

The growing relationship of Legolas and Gimli is one of the best parts of the books and movies. When they tease each other, it brings brightness to the story. The counting of kills, grabbed by the beard, "Shall I find you a box,", (In EE) the drinking game, and many more scenes make me smile. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D See?
