it's like Aragorn's eyes shuld be like the color of the see, but in the film, they where blue... :?

Tolkien said they were grey, but it might be harder to find actors with grey eyes who fit all the other qualifications so the casting team probably figured blue was close enough to grey and called it good.

Come to think of it, Tolkien said just about everyone had grey eyes. That looks nice on the page, but in a movie it'd be pretty boring.

I don't know it's boring to me thar everyone has blue eyes :confused:

(Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf....and legolas sometimes :) )

You're right about that, not everybody should have blue eyes either. They needed a variety. Pippin had green, at least; Eowyn had green; Eomer had brown; Gimli had brown...

For me, blue eyes are quite disastrous...so actually, I agree with you guys. More brown or green would've been nice. :-D

Nonono, I mean blue eyes are disastrous the other way. As in, they result in me doing this :drool: and then this :swoon:. Not so convenient when you're trying to watch your favorite movies, savvy? ;) They're very distracting...

That's mean. I love Elijah - he's absolutley amazing the way he looks and acts and I certainley prefer his eyes to Legolas' :P

No but I think the brown eyes create a better contrast too - but he does suit the blues methinks !

Elijah Wood has the most amazing eyes on this planet! Legolas's contacts don't come close, personally. It's funny, in the books everyone had grey eyes and in the movies, everyone except Eomer, I believe it was, had blue eyes.

I read this thread, and later when I felt like watching the movie, I looked for it, and I saw excactly what you are talking about. the brown eyes look better to me personally
