It's funny! My friend and I once tried to count how many times Legolas's eyes changed, but we couldn't keep up with all the view changes.

Isn't it queer how the colour of Legolas' eyes are constantly changing from blue to his original brown. Are they continuity errors or is it supposed to be like that?

Never noticed it.

LOL I've heard about that, spot the times when the elf has brown eyes. I haven't looked close enough to notice I guess. I'll have to watch the parts where you can see his eyes close enough to tell.

there are plenty of pics that show him with brown eyes as well as blue, but its harder to see in the movies cos in most of his close-ups he does have blue eyes.

Legolas's eyes change colour, because of the problems Orlando Bloom had with wearing contact lenses, and in some scene's he chose not wear them. That's why some scene's have Legolas with blue and others with brown. Personally I prefer Legolas with blue eyes since that is one of the many reasons I fell in love with him

Hope that answers it for you...

He just forgot to put his contact lenses in as his eyes are actually brown. It happened at the helms deep when him and Aragorn were arguing as well

So i wasn't hallucinating! I thought ethier
1) I was losing my mind [though many people think i already have :teehee: ]
or
2) my sight was failing me

but neither is true :-D

I have recently been watching it, and i have seen Legolas' eyes alternate rapidly from blue to brown to black to blue again multipul times.

I personally prefer him with brown eyes; I love brown-eyed blondes :)

I never knew they irritated his eyes, tho, and i thought it was just that scene. Thanks for all the info, guys!

Actually. The blue contacts they had him wearing were really, really uncomfortable. They irritated his eyes to the point where he could wear them all the time.

I feel bad for Bloom, I wouldn't dare put contacts in my eyes I don't like them. I know he had to do it for the movie but I perfer glasses.

I think glasses are more comfi too!
Can you imagine Legolas wearing glasses in the movies?! Whihi!

Haha, yeah, that is weird. I'm thinking it was a problem with the contacts.
