They are, everytime I go near it, the durn crab raises it's pincer thingehs as if to attack meh. Hence the cushion at my side...the bad thing is, I lost sight of said crab and now it's on the loose somewhere...I want a stick...

If there was a crab loose in the house I'd have my brother's samurai sword at hand... just in case. Not to hurt it, or anything, just to make sure it didn't come near.
Have you tried a fork sellotaped to a broom?

 I don't like crabs...nuh uh, everytime someone's in the kitchen they click their wee lil pincers like, I wanna take a broom and whack them...just shut up!
