Usually any time works for me... preferably later in the evening (midnight works), not quite sure what all your timezones are though.

Meh, shoot me a time suggestion and I'll try to make it work :-P

The time I have free varies from day-to-day, but I'm more certain to get on later at night(at least my time zone anyway.... I think first thing we need is to find out what timezone we're all in)

Just as an update:

Due to some recent misguided comments about the revival going nowhere, I've taken it upon myself to clean up all the spammer accounts (although not all at once...that would give me a massive headache). At some point I also plan on updating the forum software to the latest version, which will probably result in some downtime, but shouldn't be anything major. Just a heads up.

I think the fact that it has slowed down is partly my fault, since I have yet to give a list of the 3-5 people that will be coders. But then I was waiting for some of the people I had pmed to pm me back so that the desicion made isn't made by default through people not replying.

It's not anyone's fault - don't blame yourself. These things just take a lot of time and coordination :)

...Right...

My timezone: (GTM -6:00 Hours) US Centeral Time, I believe.

I am also GMT-6:00, US Central time.

And don't blame yourself, Raina. It wasn't likely to happen quickly with the planning that needed to go into it, not to mention AU is a side project and not a full time job for us. :P

I'm Central European Time, which is GMT +1, I guess.

Also, Raina, you shouldn't worry about the list of coders, as there isn't really all that much for the coders to do until we're done with other stuff ;)

It's not your fault Raina or anyone else's. Don't listen to those who don't know or understand.

I'm Greenwich Meantime which is GMT+/-0:00

Apparently. :P

That sounds great Arwen! :-)

I'm Greenwich Meantime as well, but that doesn't really matter. I'm a bit of a chronic insomniac so I can be up at whatever hour. Just ask JF - I didn't sleep at all last night after all the "excitement".

Breaking up the time zone party for a second, a couple things... :teehee:

1) How would you all feel about my making a new subforum for the A-U Revival threads? It could even be at the very top of the index page, above the Announcements section (or it could be a board in the Announcements section, if you like), and possibly grab more attention.

2) Any preference (day, time of day, etc.) for when I temporarily disable the forum to make a backup and upgrade the software?

A special subforum for the revival threads would be great, it's a lot tidier ;) Also, like you say, it gives it more attention and might bring in more people to help with the work.

I think downtime should be sometime in the middle of the week, as I can imagine traffic is higher in the weekends. Or, you know, if there's any way for you to see when traffic is lowest, and you can do it then...

Thanks for your input, Ana! Anyone else want to weigh in? :-P

Also, an update: we are 99% spam-account free! (There may have been a couple who slipped through the cracks :teehee: ) But anyway, that's all done now. Unfortunately new member registration is currently CLOSED until I can figure out what's allowing spam accounts to slip through the registration process.

The sub-forum sounds great. It will de-clutter other parts of the forum and keep all the threads nice and tidy.

I guess evenings and weekends are busier times, although I have noticed Saturdays to be quite dead of late around here. But a weekday sounds like the time that might cause least stress. :P
