True enough Eru. I can either poke myself and force me to update or Ana (and everyone else) knows I can be harassed via Facebook. :p

3-5 coders might be great anyway . Some people have more knowledge and expertise in certain areas than others which works well.

Well, what I was thinking is maybe having Elb and Haldy, since they're the best at coding, be the ones to update the coding and make the big changes to the site and such, while the other two Gimli and Nurr make the smaller changes like updating links and such that will need to be done.

If this is alright with the four of them. And it's a loose plan... very mendable, adjustable, changable, and scratchable.

That sounds good. And we can all collaborate on updates and such since I'm sure there are times for all four of us when some of us will be more/less free from RL stuff to be able to consistently update.

Sounds good to me.

^ Me too. :D

It's also good that we at least seem to be on a few times during the day at the same times, so that will be useful.

Sorry guys for the late reply. I had the most exhausting week with finals and such, but spring break is coming, so I should have free time then. Anyway, what Eruraina said sounds like a good idea. So, what's the next step? We need to figure out exactly what code we want to change (how much of the code we want to update, figure out what parts of the layout we want to change, what changes we want for the navbar, how the site back end works, etc.) Should we all plan a Skype/chat meeting to discuss these details? I feel like we'd be more efficient with an online meeting than just posting on this thread and waiting for replies. :bye2:

*pat pat*

What about using the AU chatroom? If we could arrange a time when we'll all be on we could maybe talk via the chatroom or even MSN if we all have that?

If the worst comes to worst and one of us misses the chat, at least that person can be sent a copy of everything that happened, so if there's another meeting they'll be up to date.

^That's great, GoldStrike :) If you take a look in the Image Headquarters thread you can see if there's anything specific you want to do.

If you need any coders (although I think you have a lot of them), I might be of assistance. I specialize in XHTML/HTML5, CSS2/3, and small fragments of PHP and Javascript. I have been coding for over 7 years.

Hi Telpeath! That sounds great, and the additional help would be nice since I don't know PHP (not sure if Haldir does either). I'm not sure how much PHP will be needed, but it's always better to have more advanced skills anyway. I'm thinking the five of us should get together on the AU Chat and figure out exactly what we want to change for the site layout, and how. I'm not sure about everyone's schedule, but does a meeting sometime next week sound feasible? (I'll post this suggestion on the layout and coding thread, since it's better suited there, so perhaps you could follow up there.) :bye2:

I could help out with coding, if you need me. I know HTML, and my dad just got me a book on PHP to read, so I could help with that, too. :)

Just an update - I'm currently going through the Humour section this weekend checking links and such. I'm going to need to discuss with, JF, the prospect of organising that section like the picture galleries.

^ I'll have a looksee at the humour section and see what we can do about it. :-) I guess having thumbnails (larger than the ones currently used for the gallery) would still allow people to choose what they wish to view and they could see what the humour was about, pretty much before clicking, but it would just make the page look neater. But I will have a proper look.

I know I've been gone for a while, but is there anything I can do to help? (ie any jobs left for poor little me...)

^Is there anything in particular you would like to do? I have to admit that right now I'm not 100% certain about what needs to be done and what is already covered, but if you take a look at the other threads I'm sure there's something for you there ;)
