I can also help where help is needed; just let me know! I'm so excited for all the activity and new things heading our way! :)

I can do whatever. I just want to feel a little useful... I'll go look though.

I can see why browsing through hundreds of postsand pages to find out what's needed is a little overwhelming. But if you both post your areas of interests/skills here we could try to point you in the right direction.

The main areas we are covering at the moment are coding and arranging the main site, graphics making and organising, a new main header, going through the main site section by section to check for broken links and what we want to keep and what we want to throw.

Thanks guys, it's great to see you both. :-)

It's great to be here!

I can make graphics, albeit I do not know how "good" anyone considers them to be; I love organizing things, though, if you need any help with that! :)

So, how do we know if we can help or not? Will we get a PM, or. . .it's just cos I would like to help with the HTML and stuff. :)

Well... Obviously we'd love to have people help, but it's a bit difficult when we don't know what you can do. I would suggest pm'ing either Elberethsq or Telpeath if coding's what you'd like to do. other than that, if you'd like to help with non-image stuff you can go to the non-image headquarters and see in the first post if anything that's not been "claimed" is something you'd like to do, and claim it :) if by any chance it happens to be taken already, either me or Nurr will let you know.

I can help out with smaller things on the main site... on a more freelance basis! :teehee: I'd be happy to post news on The Hobbit and other content to add to the site whenever I stumble upon it. In fact it would be lovely if we had open threads where people could post their links or pictures or whatever related to LotR and The Hobbit, much like they do on the A-U facebook group. So the coding/site people could just pick up the stuff from there whenever they are ready to put it up.

Ohh, I second that!! I look up Hobbit news everyday, I pretty much know everything there is to know about Hobbit production. :) And I would love to write bios and whatnot. I have enough time as well, and everyone tells me I'm good at writing, so sign me up for that I suppose.

I like to start up some of the LotR book chapter discussions.

That would be lovely, IMO. It would be so nice to read LoTR with other people, and hear more-recent theories and interpretations of the plot and characters.

^We've got the bios covered pretty well I think, but we could always use more people on the news team :)

Did you guys who recently checked in here to offer your help find out what you want to do and where to go?
Otherwise you may wanna post here again and tell us what you want to do. :)

Hey! How about a section for non-english-speakers? ;) I could translate some english text into german. And german into english, of course. I´d really like to help! :)

@Laurelin: I believe the idea came up to have non-english sections, but I think it was decided against. You should probably bring it up on the Forum Headquarters, because I may be wrong.

Can't garentee my time anymore.

But, I'm still willing to do the weakly fanart feature! I'm just not sure how we're going to go about it.

I'm up for pretty much anything, except graphic designing. I'm horrible at that. But almost anything I'm up for. :) And I have the time.

Actually, I'm not sure of what teams would be in need of an extra helping hand at the moment. I know people have been checking the main sites for dead links but I'm not sure if they have finished and the next thing we're waiting for a new layout for the main site but people are working on it already.

My best advice at the moment would be to check the threads here regularly so you get a feeling for what's being worked on and jump in if anything catches your particular interest.
And if you stumble across breaking news on the Hobbit we'd be happy to hear it, and the same if you find stuff for the humour section or what have we got on the main site.

Thanks. :)
