Maybe you should put them in a 'Password' forum that only the mods and admins can see? And maybe have the forum password protected? For what it's worth. :)

We can do that.. but since none of the current mods (except for Arweb) are coding-savvy it would make more sense to keep it.. 'somewhere with the coding stuff'.. if possible. :)

Nurr, or whoever: would it be an idea to post a little bit of info about the revival on the main site? So that new people understand why not everything is accessible. Just a little piece about how we're updating and that things will be back to normal as soon as possible. I'd be willing to write it if someone else can add it to the main page :)

Hey guys

I just want to say that I'm sorry not much has been happening from my end of the revival for a few weeks now. It's just been really busy here, I'm trying to get into some kind of normal sleep routine, and I'm now juggling exercising sessions and other things, so I'm trying to use my time well and see if I can get a nice routine going, which is another reason why I haven't done much with the revival. I hope by the weekend, when things are more ordered I will have the time to carry on editing the crew bios. :-)

@Ana: Do you mean like as a news piece? Or just like where the welcome stuff would normally go?

You're fine, JF. :) We all experience hectic and busy times. It's understandable that a website would not be first priority.

Like instead of the welcome stuff, but only while the revival is happening. And then we'd take it away. Just so people know what's going on :)

I purposely gave myself a small hiatus from A-U for about two weeks as I really needed to get my life in order to move overseas. Now that things are a wee bit less hectic I'd like to jump back in to all of this. Last time I was around I believe I said I would come up with a short summary of 'The Hobbit' to put up in that section; also, I've got the information for all the LotR cast bios sorted out. I'd love some guidance as to what to do with all of that [which may need to come from JF considering she's doing the bios as well; no rush though.]

What do we want to do about the affiliates who haven't updated their sites in a while? I removed/updated the ones with broken links, but I'm not sure about the ones that are still, technically, up.

So who wrote the text about the revival in the end? It looks good ;)

That was me, thanks. :) I'm glad it came across well.

Have we decided about non-updated affiliates? That would be nice to take care of. Also, are we going to be accepting new ones again?

Well, I'd say sites that haven't been updated for the past couple of years should go. But then, A-U wasn't really updated for quite a few years and we're back up, so it's hard to say. If it's quite clear they're not active anymore though, there really isn't any reason to keep them. Maybe send messages and ask whether they're still interested in being affiliates?

I vote for only keeping the recently updated/active affiliates. If they get active again they can always get in touch with us again to be affiliates. :)

I know I've been spotty on all this, but I'll get that 'Hobbit' summary up soon. :)

I just have to say that I've noticed that a lot of people lately have trouble roleplaying. They don't know where to start or even how to do it. I would love to somehow start a roleplaying class with someone, as a teacher. I could use a bunch of other people to help alongside it with me. If you don't think that it's a problem, then please let me know how else I can help!!! :)

That doesn't really seem like something that needs to be discussed here - I'd say just go for it! :) Feel free to start up a thread or something in the RP area offering your tips/ideas/help/whatever it is you want.
