Everything is looking very good to me Arwen. The posts still look stretched depending on people's sig sizes, but I can live with that.

Also I noticed before, when I clicked one of my imageshack URL's it took me to my header within the page - rather than opening a new one? I can't say I've ever noticed that before with AU, and I wasn't sure if it's just me or something different to usual.

^That happened with me too, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that before. But for me it's not a big deal, just a tiny bit of extra clicking, which I can live with.

That's due to your 800x600 screen resolution though. If the forum width is at 100%, then obviously a banner of 700 pixels in width is going to stretch the forum if 100% is only 800 pixels for you.

Me too except this time I was in the middle of posting, clicked the link, took me away from my posting page, tried to go back and it had lost my post. :-(

So I'm going to have to remember that in future. :P

^ Ah, I understand. :-)

Also JF, if you use Firefox you won't have to lose what you posted, should you be whisked away to another page while posting. 99% of the time, whatever you wrote will still be there if you go back. ;)

Oh and Arweb.. I uh... thought of another thing. *hides*

Would it be possible to have the forum navigation text (in this case: Board index » Announcements » A-U Revival 2011) in a slightly larger text size to make it more distinct? Perhaps the same text size as all the links on the main forum/index.php page? But perhaps keep "Last visit was [date+time]", "View unanswered posts | View active topics", "It is currently [date+time]", "View unread posts | View new posts | View your posts" and "All times are [timezone]" the same small text size they are now? And perhaps less line space in between all of them?

Oh and are you able to add a BBCode for embedding YouTube videos in posts? It's such a neat feature to have on other forums I'm a member of.

Just an idea. :)

Hey everyone, sorry for my long absence from the website (for some reason, the system wouldn't accept my password for the LONGEST time. I want to say how excited I am to see the website under the long-haul to being restarted again.

During the last few years, the amount of visits has been slow and the abilities of those out there has more or less increased. I think this initiative is great and I can't wait to see what all happens.

If you need any help throughout this, please feel free to contact me! I code, I write, I design - anything to help the process.

Eru: :hammer:

Nah, I've thought the same thing - it's a bit small, especially compared to the font size for the thread title. I'll look into it and the youtube bit.

Nice to see you again, Telpeath! It's been a while!

You too Arwen! It's great to see you have made an ever-vigilant return as well! We missed our fearless leader in the old days.

LoL you're more than welcome to kill me Arweb. I know I can be a pest. I'm just terribly perfectionistic. My world needs to be symmetrical or I go insane. :teehee:

Fearless? Me? :hide:

So, I switched things up a bit with the category links and got rid of the centered topic title completely, because it was kind of irritating me. Also:

W00T!! GO ARWEB!!

It's perfect. The font size might be a tad bit too large but it looks way better than the tiny size it was before.

Arwen, this is brilliant! Can I just say I have no complaints. Everything looks great on both Safari and Opera. :) [Also, thank you Eru for sticking your neck out and requesting all the tiny details that make the rest of us very happy. ]

LoL I'm trying my best. :teehee:  It's the little things that matter sometimes.

Nah but I figured, if we're going to do this, we should go full out and not leave anything half-assed. I pester so that you don't have to. ;)

I do agree. Things are easier to read here on the forums than before. The extra width is especially nice (if that has indeed changed). Looks good on Firefox and Google Chrome too!

Hey, speaking of the forum, I've moved all of the discussions about The Hobbit production to their own new sub-forum, The Lonely Mountain. Let me know if there are any threads I missed, and let's get this Hobbit discussion back in gear :)

Well, I don't know about any threads you missed, but you forgot to give us permission to enter the subforum. It's locked :P
