I don't cry when he dies, but I must admit and agree with Haldir and Craig Parker fans around the world, that his death scene is pretty sad. You see him looking around at all the other elves lying dead around him before he falls into Aragorn's arms dead. And Haldir's Lament that accompinates it makes it even more sad. Haldir doesn't die in the book, so WHY does he in the movie?? In my opinion he deserves to live. After all he is my second fave elf (my first being Legolas) and he did save the batttle of helms deep by turning up with his army of galadrahim elves...

I love Haldir, and I've been a massive fan of Craig's. I'm not sure I am anymore, however, after what happened when I met him last year. But Haldir is still one awesome character.

Haldir is one of my favorite elves, and I can't forgive his death to PJ. Haldir should not die!! He should be guarding Lóthlorien. Not lying dead in Helms Deep.
