i always thought they should have put that scene in the ordinary version cuz other wise ppl think of Boromir as really hauty and selfish which he isnt. The brotherly scene was really nice. I liked it. showed Boromir's ordinary side.

I love that part...it makes me think more about the relationship father/sons....I also LOVE the whole scene of Boromir's speech and screaming GONDOR! and the people chanting back, that was awesome! and he looks hot

There is some words that I didn't understand but I find that this scene is sad for Faramir because he trys to be loved from his father as much as his brother but denethor prefers boromir and shows it at Faramir .
I hope understand what I mean

The scene with Boromir, Faramir, and Denethor should have been in the movie. It provides more background information and what the two brothers fought for. The relationship between Boromir and Faramir was very strong, even though Denethor's love for Faramir wasn't. When I saw the instant bond between Boromir and Faramir, I smiled... up to when Denethor ruined the whole moment.

Ditto--this scene should definitely have been included in the theatrical version. I love it, and it keeps people from hating Boromir, and gives them a greater understanding of Faramir.

That scene shows how Boromir and Faramir loves each other as brothers. If you listened cautiously the line that Boromir said, "No, no a moment of piece cannot he give us this" or something closer at least. Boromir always tries to tell his father that Faramir is good too but Denethor everytime ignores him.
And brothers' last looks at each other right before Boromir leaves says so much things.

Before watching the EE, I was beginning to think that Boromir just liked the glory and pleasing his father, but this scen summed everything up.

I wish they never cut that scene out! I think it was very powerful and had so much meaning behind that scene. And showed to everyone how one, the two sons of Gondor adored and loved eachother so much! And two, how Denethor treated Faramir unfairly.

I really liked the addition of the brothers in Osgiliath. I wished it had gone on a little longer before being ruined by Denethor. You could see the great casting of Sean Bean and David Wenhem for the parts and how they looked, or were made to look, similar as brothers.

And also I thought it was cool how they laughed EXACTLY the same!!! Oh that was a great scene! I love it so much! The sweetness of their relationship was incredibly well done. And I do agree with Hanasian about Denethor.

I too wish the scene was longer with Boromir and Faramir.

I think John Noble is a good actor, and he could have pulled of a more dignified Denethor as portrayed in the books, but I think PJ Boyens & Co had this vision in their heads, and went to find someone to fit their needs. Anyway... I'm getting started...
