I do know that the scene when Haldir is indeed sad but very dramatic. I didn't catch that when I last saw it, I shall have to watch it again and watch more closely.

I hate that scene and I love it.I hate to see Haldir dying since he is one of my favourite elves. It makes me cry everytime. But it is beautifully done and it is dramatic.

When I first saw the film I was in shock for a long while. Haldir *died*.
