Ok, I shall be different. I read the books first.
Now, I didn't think that Arwen died in childbirth, but, after a few times watching the scene. I thought it was more like Arwen wasn't there. If that makes sense. To better explain, I did think once, I believe, that Arwen died before her son reached that age. I really hope that made sense.

I thought it was a lovely scene and I didn't get the impression that Arwen would die.

No, sorry, I didn't get that idea...I really didn't get that scene at all until I heard Arwen say, "You saw my son!" And I was like, oh, it was a boy?
There were a lot of things about the movie Arwen that I didn't get, like her kissing him when he was washed up out of the river and then disapearing.
But oh well...

Oh dear... Darry's hair wasn't that long, was it?
I think that scene was supposed to show how powerful the Elves were, because she pretty much gave him the kiss of life. Or perhaps it was just a halucination on Aragorn's part, or a random bit that snuck in for no reason.
