Aw I agree. I love that part. Though, my annoying older brother is like "Merry and Pippin don't deserve a bow! They did nothing!" and of course I backfire saying that they did deserve it..and our debate about a simple thing like that lasted for about a week. :p

I tend to agree with your brother that they really didn't do anything compared to Frodo and Sam, but I have nothing against everyone bowing to them as well. :)

Boy..didn't they help destory Isengard--when it was Pip's idea? And that Im sure of is a brave thing for a Hobbit to do. And they voluntered to help destroy the Ring, AND Merry fought at Pelenor and saved Eowyn's life practicaly. They did a lot more and accomplished stuff on their own.

Lol..I could ramble on..but theres a few things I think are worth appeciating.

.....if you think about it, all Pippin did was suggest that they go past Isengard. However, they did serve to motivate the Ents.

As for Merry saving Éowyn, well--that's not such a big deal. I'm sure lots of other people saved other peoples' lives that day, too.

I still don't think they did anything that really compares them to Frodo and Sam, but like I said--I have no problem with PJ putting them in that scene.

Gr! Of course you have answers for those--just like my brother. :eyeroll:

However, I shall not rant on..I just suppose you and I see different view points. But they did accomplish a lot for their small size.

Yes. They did accomplish a lot--it just didn't seem like a lot when it was compared to Frodo and Sam. :)

...only Merry and Pippin's expressions are dumb. Sam's is okay, and Frodo's is very fitting to the situation.

I found Frodo's expression to be extremely fitting for that scene. I love it--that's one of the things I thought PJ got done rather well--he got Frodo to have the most fitting expression for the emotions he would have been experiencing at the time.

Sam did look embarassed, which I would've felt, too. Frodo looked touched. Frodo's expression was perfect.
