I am unsure as to whether or not i am correct but i'm almost certain that i heard Legolas count up to about 58 when Gimli had hit only 30 up until he is faced with the Mumakil. Just before he mounts the Mumakil - he counts only in the 30's...is this true or was I imagining things lol? :/

im not sure where gimli was but as i recall. when legolas gets on the mumakil he's counting ( if i heard right) 34...35.

now you do here him stop conting out lound. but i have tried to finish....up until he slides off the mumakil and i get somewhere in the 40's.

but i don't remember hearing anything really up until then. i think if i did i would have recognized it...especially if it was a mistake like that, but i could be wrong

I guess it just means that i'm going to have to watch it again, but i'm specifically refering to before he mounts the Mumakil.

I don't recall hearing them counting before the Mûmakil scene, but then, it's been a while since I watched that scene. I'll look for it next time. :)

I do wonder how many orcs they killed in the Pelennor Fields battle. Would they have more than in Helm's Deep because there are about 200,000 orcs as opposed to 10,000 Uruk-hai? Or would they have less because the Army of the Dead basically handles it?

Probably more, the army of the dead dont come for a while, although, If all the orcs died who fell of the ladders at helms deep, then that would tally up a few. Im sure they kick back quite a few....

And it looks more like 200 million at pelanoor fields on the arial distance-shots!

i've never really thought about if it would be more or less.....you have to remember though that the army of the dead showed up with legolas and them...so i think i would have to say that they pretty much got the biggest amount.....pesonally if he only got 42 at helms deep, i don't think he got much over maybe...50...60.

but yeah its been a while since i've watched the movie so my memory isn't really clear.

I heard something like "...33,34,35...".I've looked in the English subtitles for this scene and it was given 33,34,35.And the count of the orcs pfuuuu....I don't know how many are they but they're defenetly more then the Uruk-hai in TTT at Helm's deep.
Maybe 100,000 or 150,000,I guess.I want to find out the exactly count too. :)

Ha ha the mass Mumakil slaughter!

Yeah It's a pity we don't get a precise final count of killings, all I know is that they must have decimiated one hec of a lot of Orcs!
